U of T Global Ideas Institute (GII) empowers students to explore solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. We connect high school and university students with researchers, mentors, and community leaders to foster critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation. Through interdisciplinary learning and real-world problem solving, participants gain the skills and perspectives needed to address complex global issues. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of changemakers and global citizens. The Global Ideas Institute is where young people learn, grow, and take action to create a more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive world.
